Powder Gate, Old Town Prague

Powder Gate, Old Town Prague, originally uploaded by brandy_shot.

The original gate dates from the 11th century, when it was one of 13 entrances to the Old Town of Prague. Work on the present structure began during the reign of King Vladislav II. Later, it was used to store gunpowder, and became known as the Powder Gate.

It's next to the Old Town Hall and a few steps to a big shopping centre and many hotels.
It's hard to take the photo without people's heads. It's a favourite for tourists pics
