Charles Bridge from downstream 2

This shot was taken from the next bridge downstream of the Charles Bridge.. As you can see it was a lovely bright summers day.

The bridge was started on 7th September 1357 at 1.35 precisely. i.e. 135797531. An astrologer advised that this was propitious time and date if the bridge was not to be destroyed by floods like its pre-decessors. Well 652 years later it survives.

Remember to have visited a small shop at the end of the bridge, selling wooden string puppets. After stepping out of the door it started to snow...best place to be in my whole life.
